Sadara Chemical Company, a joint venture between Dow and Aramco, has halted operations at its major cracker complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, as geopolitical tensions linked to the US–Iran conflict escalate. The shutdown impacts significant output, including 400,000 tpa of propylene and 1.5 million tpa of ethylene, tightening regional supply and raising concerns over downstream petrochemical availability and price volatility.
