DCM Shriram to Sell 50% Stake in Shriram Polytech to Teknor Apex

NEW DELHI — DCM Shriram Ltd has announced that it will divest 50% of its stake in its wholly owned subsidiary Shriram Polytech Ltd (SPL) to Dutch company Teknor Apex B.V. for US$ 5.6 million.

The transaction, expected to close by April 23, 2026, will transform SPL into a joint venture between DCM Shriram and Teknor Apex. Following the deal, DCM Shriram’s ownership in SPL will reduce from 100% to 50%.

Shriram Polytech Ltd is a leading player in PVC compounds and specialty polymer solutions, serving industries such as automotive, electrical, footwear, and healthcare. Teknor Apex, headquartered in the Netherlands, is a global supplier of custom compounds with a strong presence in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Industry observers note that the partnership is expected to enhance SPL’s technological capabilities, broaden its product portfolio, and strengthen its global market reach.

DCM Shriram has not disclosed further details on the strategic rationale, but analysts suggest the move aligns with the company’s broader efforts to unlock value and expand through international collaborations.
